Burleigh is a Ceramic Manufacturing business established in 1851 is still making a pure English earthenware product in the 21st Century. Our full company name is Burgess & Leigh ltd (from the names of our two founders) we produce all of our pottery from the amazing Middleport Pottery in Stoke-On-Trent.

We have a rich heritage of design and craftsmanship. Over the years we have employed many different decorating techniques but our mainstay has allways been underglaze transfer printing. We are now the very last factory to use this 18th century method.

We use ball clay and china clay from Devon and Cornwall.

We believe from our experience and insight we reflect a basic love many people have for functional yet beautiful pottery. From our rich archives and unique traditional decorating skills to our up-to-date country living look, we have created a range of stylish products for the modern home.
